Blessed is the Goddess
(ooc)

As this rp has died a death, i’m offering all the Chaos characters to some other rp’ers so if you want to deactivate your account so you won’t get the rp on your dash then i’m cool with that. If you want to keep your character and you are willing to actively rp again, then message me, otherwise you lose the character by the end of the week

I’ve hung on for a long time and have honestly got fed up with it all. Chloe I know you still want Quetz, so i won’t offer him to anyone

It was not like him, he thought, to feel like this and he was almost scolding himself for his apprehension. He sat on the small bed, hands in his lap. Through the paper that comprised the package in his hand, he could feel the outline and shape of the items within. When he lifted it, he could hear…

“One part wolvesbane, two parts nightshade” Mia hums to herself as she grinds the ingredients in the mortar before sprinkling dried sage into the compound. She has been working all morning with the plants and ingredients she had bought at the apothecary All of her gold is gone now but she has enough ingredients now to last a few months and she had no idea when they would make port again.

She has even managed to purchase seeds, a small bag of soil and some pots so now she would be able to grow her own herbs and propagate and take cuttings from the adult plants once they began to flourish.

Corvin squawks beside her and hops along the table, flapping his wings. His broken leg is healed now and he seems a much happier bird. Mia pats him on the head and carries on with her work.

She jumps at the sound of a soft knocking on the door and then Kovac’s voice, nearly knocking a glass jar off the table and only just catching it in time

Her heart skips a beat and the thought of seeing him. but she is in a tatty work gown, her hair tied back and dirt on her hands but she has no time to get changed, she hopes he will not think less of her because of her appearance.

He knocks again and she smoothes her gown and rubs off as much of the dirt as she can before dashing to the door and pulling it open. She smiles and gestures for him to come in.

“Hello Kovacs, I trust you are well?”

Kovacs involuntarily inhaled through his nose quite sharply, perhaps to wake his brain up which was still distracted by all this inner thought. Blinking, he pursed his lips before smiling.
“I am, thank you, and I hope you are too.” he said, noticing she was a little dirty. His eyes darted into the room as he took a step forward (still trying to keep the paclage behind his back, although he was sure it was obvious he was hiding something now) he noticed she was busy working with the ingredients she’d purchased at the port, and his smile grew a little bit.
“I hope I haven’t interrupted you at a busy time, but,” he pursed his lips again, feeling an odd sensation in his body as if he were cringing. Perhaps it was embarassment, although he inwardly scolded himself once more for having such a feeling. Swallowing, he regained his composure and continued. “…but I have something for you, a gift I mean, I was not sure when best to give it to you though.”

He brought his hand from behind his back and presented the small paper package with an (unintentionally) lopsided smile, curling his toes slightly as he looked at her.

Brushing a stray hair behind her ear, Mia gives him a soft smile and a small bow but always keeping her eyes on him. Her heart is beating fast and it feels like there are butterflies fluttering madly in her chest and her mouth is dry She notices he has his hands behind his back and she tries to take a peep without him realizing it.

“Oh no Kovacs you haven’t disturbed me at all”

She watches as he brings his arms from behind her back, presenting her with a package and places it in her hands “A gift for me?”

She quickly unwraps the parcel to reveal the amethyst slides that she saw only yesterday and her hand flutters to her mouth in surprise and delight “Oh…Kovacs, by the goddess, thank you, they are beautiful!”

She places them on the table, takes a breath to steady her nerve and then stands on the tips of her toes and kisses him gently on the cheek, breathing in his scent for just a second before pulling away, her face burning. She clears her throat trying to regain some of her composure before she speaks again.

“Thank you for your gift Kovacs, I will always wear them…to remind me of you, my dearest friend”

He had watched quite nervously as she’d opened the package and for a moment wasn’t even sure if it was a good idea to buy her the slides. What if she was annoyed that he’d had the money to purchase these for her and hadn’t done so in the first place? Of course he didn’t expect that attitude of Mia but in a moment of panic it seemed to be the worst case scenario. He pushed it from his mind anyway and was greatly relieved when he sensed her reaction was dawning on the positive side simply from the speed at which she opened it.

It was with even greater relief that he realised she was in fact very grateful and that he had not overstepped a boundary in giving her such a gift. However, he had not at all expected the kiss and it came as such a surprise to him he was sure he’d stopped breathing for a moment, and only became aware of the wide-eyed look he was giving her until it’d been plastered to his face for a good few seconds. His toes her crunched up tight in his shoes and his heart almost hurt for all the speed it was beating at.

Collecting himself and catching his breath, he smiled and gave her a short bow.
“I am glad you like them, they’ll suit you.” he replied rather awkwardly, not entirely sure what to say next. “When you’ve finished your work with your herbs, perhaps you’d like to come up on deck? It is not a particularily cold night and I do not know about you, but I’m missing fresh air already.” he chuckled.

Mia tries not to giggle at the very surprised look on the red dragon’s face, it was obvious he wasn’t expecting her to kiss him, it was only a little peck after all but even so her lips are tingling from the sensation of touching his skin. Her heart is calming ever so slightly but the redness in her cheeks must give her away completely. she picks up the slides again and admires them as they sparkle, catching the light from the many candles she has lighting the cabin. “They are perfect Kovacs and once again I thank you , your generosity and kindness is most touching I just wish I had something to give you in return”

His mention of joining him on deck brings a smile back to her face “I would love to join you on deck when I am done here. I shall come find you and I shall wear the slides and a more appropriate gown, not this tatty old thing and if you are interested there will be a partial eclipse of the moon tonight. We can sit and watch it together, if that suits you of course but it is very beautiful to behold”

@Mick I’m on if you wanna RP! :)
Mia walks dreamily into her cabin unable to keep the beaming smile from her face and sits down on her bunk.

She has just spent the most wonderful evening with her friend Kovacs, where they had shared supper and conversation. Mia was very nervous at first and she had a feeling that Kovacs was too as he continued to call her’ Lady Mia’ for the first part of their meal. “Please call me Mia, I hate all these formalities Kovacs” she had told him after that he had tried his best to refer to her by her name but had occasionally slipped up which had made her giggle when he apologized.

They had sipped wine and talked all evening and he was the most pleasant of companions as the wine seemed to loosen and relax him a little as they laughed and joked about their time in Chaos. Mia had found that the wine had made her a little braver too as she was always a little shy around him.

At one point during the evening they had both reached out for the same piece of bread and their fingers had touched just briefly. Mia had felt a tingle in her spine and her cheeks started to flush, she was sure that he had felt the same sensation but his face gave nothing away.

Then after the meal they had walked back to the ship, Kovacs didn’t talk much as he looked deep in thought and then he had bid her a goodnight once on the ship and they had parted ways. She gets up from the bed and Corvin swoops over to her arm and she pets him making him caw softly and she sighs “Oh Corvin, I like Kovacs, I really do but does he like me?”
